This is at a loaded time for the BBC – and less than a year after the investigation into the accusations of bullying on the strictly set up.

A probe was started in claims of misconduct by professional Giovanni Pernice, who was forced to resign from it in the midst of claiming that he had bullied actress Amanda Abbington during their rehearsals.

After months of research, the BBC maintained two moments of ‘inappropriate behavior of sexual chatter in the workplace’

The research did not reveal any findings with regard to physical aggression, but complaints of verbal bullying and intimidation were maintained according to the PA press agency.

Operu singer Wynne Evans was in the center of controversy after last year’s series (photo: Guy Levy/BBC/PA wire)

More recently, the BBC has dropped former strictly participant Wynne Evans of his BBC Wales Rolling contract after a series of controversies.

The singer led to a furore when his professional dance partner Katya Jones seemed to be moving his hand out of her waist – of which he said it was a body language experiment that was picked up. “

The pair claimed that this was a ‘foolish joke’ that just failed, but the opera singer was struck by more controversy when reports emerged that he had made an ‘unacceptable joke’ about strictly live host Janette Manrara.

Evans subsequently apologized and described himself as ‘a lot of regret for the pain that my inappropriate action caused’ and would take a break from the public eye for ‘self -reflection’ and ‘prioritize my well -being’.

Metro contacted the BBC for comment on this story.

A version of this story was originally published on August 3.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to the BBC this fall.
