Srk let me and Rinku Dance every time KKR won: Shivam Mavi [Exclusive] | Cricker

Indian Pacer Shivam Mavi Shared his thoughts on various topics during an exclusive interview with Crictracker. Thinking about his time with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mavi revealed that he was part of the franchise until 2023 before he was released by the triple IPL champions.

He said that the decision was respectfully transferred to him and also remembered lovingly lighter moments with KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, who often made him and teammate Rinku Singh Dance after competitions. Mavi played in 32 games for KKR in four seasons and picked up 30 wickets. His most impactful campaign came during IPL 2021 and a few years later was given the opportunity to be part of the Indian setup.

Did you receive a message from KKR after you had been released prior to the IPL 2023 auction?

I had a chat with Venky Mysore sir, and he told me that unfortunately they would not keep me for that season. He was very supportive and helpful in that conversation. Each team has certain requirements, and perhaps I did not fit into their own at that time. They clearly conveyed this message and I accepted it as part of the game.

Can you share an unheard of story with Shah Rukh Khan during your KKR days?

When he (SRK) comes to watch a match, he used to make Rinku [Singh] And I dance after the game. (Laughs)
