A security camera conquered thieves who jumped over a gate and steal a Range Rover from the driveway of a Tamiami house.
Caridad Gomez said she didn’t hear anything from the house on Sunday, but her son did.
“My son heard a sound, a loud sound,” said Gomez. “He said,” Mom, are you taking the car? “I said no. He said, “Mama, someone steals the car.”
Gomez said the loud sound was someone who stealed her Range Rover, but by the time they came out, it was too late.
“I feel frustrated, I feel very bad,” Gomez said.
When Gomez looked at her neighbor’s security video, she saw someone step out of a black car and jump over her gate.
Her SUV was locked and the key was in her house, but somehow this person could come in and bet.
Then, seconds later, Gomez said the person hit her Mercedes in her SUV.
Then the video shows that another person gets out of the car and forces the gate open so that their accomplice can chase away.
Gomez and her sons went looking for her Range Rover, but no luck.
“I know it happens, but I never thought it could happen to us, and that’s why I want to tell the people and the neighbors that they can do something like that to everyone,” Gomez said.
Gomez wants to express the word so that her neighbors and the community are aware, but she wants her car back and she has a message for the people who have stolen it.
“Don’t do that anymore, learn how to work,” said Gomez. “They come to good neighborhoods to steal what they have sacrificed their lives.”
Gomez reported the theft. NBC6 reached for Miami-Dade’s Sheriff office for information about the research.
