Shunya, Circle Sign Pact for Hydroponic Fodder Research

Shunya Agritech signs a five-year-old Mou with Icar-Cirg, Mathura, for Hydroponic Fodder Research.

Shunya Agritech, a animal food feeding platform, has signed a five-year memorandum of agreement (MOU) with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Institute for Research on Goats (ICAR-CIRG), Mathura, to work on the research and development of the development of hydroareavoality Goat and the strengthening of speed enthusiasts.

Manish Kumar Chatli, director, Icar-Cirg, and Vijay Singh, MD and CEO, Shunya Agritech, signed the MOU in the presence of SP Singh Baghel, Foreign Minister for Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy Products.

A media statement said that the hydropulture model of Shunya was designed to overcome sustainability and barriers for resources. With the help of 99 percent less water than conventional methods, controlled environmental technology makes production possible throughout the year in just eight days from seed to harvest, compared to 45 days for traditional food. A unit that only occupies 3,500 m² can produce up to 1,000 kg of green food daily, making it 90 percent more land efficient than conventional cultivation, it said.

The MOU will set up a dedicated Growth and Logistics Center (GLC) in the CIRG campus in Makhdoom, located near Shunya’s existing GLC in Atus Village. This will make strong synergies possible between research, demonstration and farmer, said it.

The statement quoted Vijay Singh and said that this collaboration with Icar-Cirg is a milestone in the shunya journey to make the climate-smart food accessible to every farmer. “By combining our hydroponic innovation with the scientific expertise of CIRG, we want to proven, provide scalable solutions that improve the goat productivity, strengthen the livelihood of farmers and create a lasting impact on India’s animal sector,” Singh said.

Manish Kumar Chatli said: “At CIRG, our mission is to improve goat productivity through science, research and farmer Outreach. Working with Shunya Agritech allows us to validate the benefits of hydroponic food to farmers in India. Together we will build evidence-based models for small and intensity and income and intensity and intensity and income and marginal farms and marginal farms and marginal farms and marginal farms can build. “
