West India has announced a team of 15 men for the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan, which is being played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba. Shai Hope will be the Kant Captain while they look to bounce back from recent struggles in the size.
The series has extra importance, since West -India strives to earn valuable ranking points for qualifying for the ODI World Cup 2027. The team was recently cast 3-0 white and would like to respond with a better performance for home fans.
Head coach Daren Sammy emphasized the commitment to the series.
“Pakistan presents a different test and challenge while we continue our urge for automatic qualification for the World Cup 2027,” Sammy said India Today. “Although qualifying is our direct goal, maintaining a winning mentality and team cohesion is essential for long -term success.”
West India will also like to arrange scores after losing the T20i series 1-2 at Pakistan in Lauderhill.
Fast Bowler Alzarri Joseph is equipped, while Romario Shepherd returns to the team after missing the English Tour because of IPL play -offs. Young players such as Jewel Andrew and Jediah Blades have retained their places, giving the team a good mix of youth and experience.
