SGA introduces the Converse SHAI 001 LUX “Truffle”; The SHAI lounge opens at LA All-Star

Will there ever be a perfect alignment of events for a signature shoe debut like we’ve seen with the Converse SHAI 001? Probably not. Never before have we seen an athlete garner all the praise by sitting down, hoisting a championship trophy and launching a hot shoe at the same time. With the debut ‘Butter’ and its family-oriented colorways melting the hearts of hoops fans, Shai and Converse are ready to take a step into luxury with the first-ever luxury iteration of the silhouette.

Behold, the Converse SHAI 001 LUX: Truffle. Shai just debuted the shoes in the tunnel ahead of OKC’s showdown with Houston, revealing a masterful take on the sculpted silhouette. Utilizing the chiselled design, this SHAI 001 LUX features premium nubuck grain that channels the world of luxury goods and artisanal chocolate while wrapping the entire upper and around the heel clip. Gold foil insoles contribute to the tasteful appearance. Below, Converse officially unveils the shoes in detail.

The good news: the Converse SHAI 001 LUX “Truffle” is not a PE, but an upcoming release. In addition to All-Star Week’s most sought-after releases, they will be available exclusively at The Shai Lounge and Undefeated La Brea on Saturday, February 14, followed by a release at The Foot Locker Takeover at LA Live on February 15. another limited global drop is scheduled for February 26 at $170. Additionally, additions of the Butter, Ares Grey, Hail Clay, Charm Black and Masi Blue will be available at The Foot Locker Takeover on LA Live. The SHAI 001 “Clean Slate” will also be launched on February 13.

The Shai Lounge is a special space during All-Star Week that communicates that LUX: Truffle mentality. In the lounge, Converse will offer truffle-inspired bites, craft drinks and a lineup of rap artists and DJs including Ty Hues, BabyChiefDoIt, Lelo, Osamason, Babyface Ray and Anthony Osei. There will also be a limited edition Shai T-shirt available, designed by 12:01AM – Office of Hassan Rahim.
