Serhant. Prepares for the expansion of October Rhode Island

The Newport office, Rhode Island, is led by Deborah Hauser and launches five founders who have closed around $ 550 million in sales volume in the past year.

“I feel very humble and excited to be tailored to these great people, because their collective experience, their production and their reputation set the tone for our growth in the state,” Serhant said about his team, which will have 18 total agents.

Founders are Dina Karousos, formerly with Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty. She brings 15 years of experience and more than $ 435 million in career sales and closed $ 68 million in 2024.

Devin Sheehan, earlier with Re/maxHas more than $ 114 million in career sales, including $ 17 million so far in 2025.

Caroline Richards, the most recently with Hogan Associates/Christie’s international real estatehas registered more than $ 120 million in career sales.

Hillary Olinger, also from Hogan Associates/Christie’s, has closed more than $ 70 million in turnover over 120-plus transactions.

Tammy Bass-a other former Hogan Associates/Christie’s Team member-Brings 23 years of experience in the Rhode Island market. She has closed more than $ 700 million in career sales.

Rhode Island as the ’13th state’

Serhant. Is now active in 13 states, of which Serhant noted, was appropriate in view of the own place of Rhode Island in American history.

“It came up with me that Rhode Island was the 13th state in the Union,” he said. “We end our expansion over the east coast – and we have many agents on the east coast who have many customers who are also in Rhode Island, or who have holiday homes in Rhode Island.

“Rhode Island as a state is small in size, but I think it is enormous in opportunities. We not only chase the volume as a solid one, especially not in the number of heads. We chase vision.”

In addition to recent expansion, the company used the popularity of its Netflix show “possessing Manhattan” as a recruitment instrument and catalyst for substantial transaction growth.

Technology and branding as differentiators

Asked how the company adapts its Tech-Forward model to a smaller market such as Rhode Island, Serhant said that the strategy will not change.

“We make our agents their own individual platforms, so agents have access to Serhant Studios, our production company, ID Lab, the Marketingbureau, and S.Mple. That is our AI control system for sellers – who replaces administrative work and has completely changed the game.”

He emphasized that the movement “is not just a real estate agent who is planning a flag.”

“We bring the entire Serven aircraft, from content to media to education to technology to a market that we think is left behind from those four pillars,” Serhant said. “We help agents to build a platform to grow their personal brands and really become individual market leaders.”

Housing market Outlook

Looking at the wider housing market, Serven Servene Optimism, despite uncertainty about mortgage interest and stock shortages.

“I think with the FBI (indicates) the cuts at the end of the year, there is a pent -up demand for housing,” he said. “There is a considerable amount of buyers who have been on the sidelines. Rent is located on or near all-time highlights, although it started to cool slowly this year. You also have a shortage of stock due to the locked effect of rates.”

That dynamic, he said, could set up a strong run.

“I expect that we will probably go to the strongest housing market for the next two years [that] I once saw in my career, “Serhant said.” One of the reasons why we also move as fast as we are is there in anticipation.

“We just want to ensure that we can serve our customers and our agents in as many markets as our customers and our agents want.”
