A line-up from San Jose Sharks that was light on experienced NHL players fell behind in the second period with three goals and was unable to fully recover in a 3-2 losing season for the Anaheim Ducks on Monday in the Honda Center.
The sharks allowed goals to cut Gauthier, Radko Gudas and Frank Vatrano in a wingspan of 2:51 to run 3-0 against the 9:13 of the second period. The goal of Gudas on the 7:09 Mark, who gave Anaheim a 2-0 lead, was shortened and lost a puck struggle behind their own net after the sharks.
Corder Pavol Regenda, who played in the Ducks organization for two plus years before he was taken over by San Jose last season, scored a Power-Play goal on the 13:29 Mark of the second to reduce the lead from Anaheim to 3-1.
During the piece, defender Shakir Mukhamadullin took a pass from Oliver Wahlstrom and shot a shot that went off Regenda’s Skate and former ducks of Ducks Ville Husso.
Both the sharks and the ducks went 1-out-5 on the Power Play.
The sharks looked better after the goal of Regenda, and Adam Gaudette Center cut Anaheim’s lead to one with his first goal of the preseason when his shot from the lock passed Husso passed by 4:01 in regulations. Husso made 22 Saves in the victory.
Goalie Jakub Skarek, who played six seasons in the New York Islanders’ Organization before signing the Sharks this summer, played the first half of the game and made 13 saves.
Gabriel Carriere, who split the time between the Barracuda and the Echl’s Wichita Thunder last season, played the second half of the game and made 14 rescues without a goal.
The sharks dressed only six players who arrive in the team of the team before the start of the regular season on October 9: Forwards Ty Dellandrea, Gaudette and Philipp Kurashev and defenders Vincent Desharnais, Timothy Liljegren and Mukhamadullin.
Yet the sharks were looking for a reaction after a faint 2-1 loss for the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday in SAP Center. After the game, Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky regretted the lack of connectivity of his team.
The Sharks Figure to dress a more experienced line-up on Wednesday when they organize the Ducks in their third to previous previous season match.
A few of the players who dressed for the sharks on Monday can soon be assigned to the Barracuda, who will officially open their training camp on Tuesday and play their first previous season match on Saturday in Bakersfield.
In the meantime, the ducks have dressed 15 NHL players who will probably be in their selection next month. That group includes Center Mikael Granlund, who signed a three -year -old deal with Anaheim on 1 July.
Granlund was taken over in August 2023 by the sharks of the Penguins as part of the trade that Erik Karlsson sent to Pittsburgh and had 105 points in 121 games with San Jose before he was traded to the Dallas Stars in February.
REMARK: The sharks that Centrum Filip Bystedt and winger Igor ChernyShov have assigned to the Barracuda of the AHL on Monday. Both played in one pre -season match for the Sharks.
Bystedt, a first round pick from the Sharks in 2022, played in his first full year in North America last season and had 31 points in 50 games with the Barracuda. With Andrew Poturalski, the MVP of the AHL and the most important scorer of the Barracuda last season, now in the KHL, Bystedt could get the chance to become the number 1 center of San Jose at the start of this season.
Tsjernyshov was generally selected 33rd by the sharks in 2024. After a stellair half season in the OHL, besides Michael Misa, ChernyShov joined the Barracuda and had an assist in two games in the regular season and a goal in two Playoff games.
