State Secretary Marco Rubio has issued a strict reprimand of a recent blasphemous performance of “Jesus Christ Superstar” in the Hollywood Bowl and evokes the disturbing pattern of anti-Christian attacks that have existed since the earliest days of faith.
In an interview with EWTN’s ‘The World Over’, Rubio was broadcast on the concern of Christians about the casting of black female bisexual actress Cynthia Erivo as Jesus, who describes production as part of a broader effort to undermine and undermine religious values.
“I don’t follow any things, but how you described it, no, I mean, of course, look, that stuff is done to be provocative and insinuated, but I think that for people of faith, all this should not be new,” said Rubio.

The show took place at the start of the month in Los Angeles.
“It has been true from the start in Christianity, it has been – Christianity has been mocked, Christianity has been attacked from the start,” Rubio continued. “In fact, the church has traditionally been at its strongest when it is the persecuted church, it has been at its weakest when it is a bit digested by the culture.”

Rubio explained that Christianity is traditionally at odds with the culture.
“And so Christianity has always been contracultural,” he said.
Rubio concluded: “It had been from the earliest days, and it has been on its strongest and most lively. Now that does not mean that we are looking for persecution or that we are not assuming it. But I think we should understand that the own order of Christ and the own words of Christ, he tells us that they are going to hate you because of me.”
