Former UFC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland has a top name in mind for his planned comeback fight.

After Khamzat Chimaev had protected the UFC -Middenweight title on UFC 319 two months ago, a whole series of contenders makes strong cases for the next title shot. Chimaev brought the title of Dricus Du Plessis to a screaming stop in a dominant performance in Chicago.

While the matchmakers think about what the next is for the top central weight contenders, Sean Strickland remains in the mix, despite two recent defeats for Du Plessis. The victory of Chimaev may give Strickland New Life in the title photo of the division.

Strickland has been linked to a potential rematch with Israel Adesanya in recent months, after Adesanya called him on the red carpet of the UFC Hall of Fame Ceremony. But Strickland has other ideas for his return to the Octagon.

During a recent interview with Nice junkieStrickland called up for a confrontation with Anthony Hernandez for his planned UFC -Comeback fight.
