Earlier today, the Atlanta Braves shuffled around with their bull pen, which in fact looks like rearranging deck seats on the Titanic on this point in the season. Unfortunately, the news got worse as the day continued, because this time more shuffles with an injury. Sean Murphy goes on the 10-day IL with a torn Labrum in his right hip and Sandy Léon will come to replace him-probably for the rest of the season.
Assuming that he will get an operation to repair it, a torn hip table will usually reduce you for six to eight months, which means that this will be pretty important for Murphy and forces him to essentially restore the entire low season and to restore the injury. Unnecessary to say that that is still a heavy blow to the Braves and it is especially cruel for Murphy, who still has to start a season behind the proverbial eight-ball while he recovers from this injury.
Sean Murphy will end the season with a .199/.300/.409 slash line with a .309 Woba and 96 WRC+ for the season. While this was absolutely not a great season at the plate for murphy, his defense was pretty great as he was in the 94th percentile among all catchers in Blocks above Average (8), the 89th percentile in Timht stealing (4th) in the 80th perverage, the 80th perverage in the 8th inverage, the 80th perverage in the 8th inverage, the 80th perverage, the 80th inverage, the 80th perverage, the 80th inverage, the 80th perverage, the 80th inverage (4), the 80th perverage and the 8th) and the 8th inverage (4th) and the 80th perverage (4). That said, I would imagine that this means that Drake Baldwin will get a lot of run to close the season. In the meantime Dane Dunning is back in the bullpen after the girl’s journey from Hayden Harris to the Bigs has been demolished.
