The North American Hard-Court Swing will continue this week in the Winston-Salem, where Stefanos Tsitsipas leads the field during the ATP 250 event. Greek No. 1 is confronted with fierce competition from people as defending champion Lorenzo Sonego and Tallon Greek track.
Atptour.com looks at five things to watch in Winston-Salem.
1) Tsitsipas accepts Late WC: After having gone outside the top 20 in the PIF ATP rankings for the first time since 2018, Tsitsipas will hope to turn his season in Winston-Salem, where he is the best seed. The Greek, who has joined Father and Coach Apostolos Tsitsipas, has a record of 20-15 in 2025, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss index.

2) Defending champion Sonego: By beating Alex Michelsen to claim his fourth ATP Tour trophy in Winston-Salem last year, Sonego became the 11th active player who had won a title on Outdoor Hard, Indoor Hard, Clay and Grass. The 30-year-old Italian starts his title defense in North Carolina and has not won a consecutive matches on hard courts since February.
3) Greek track, Darderi try to add to 2025 titles: Greek rail and Luciano Darderi, the second and third seeds, are both focused on the circle of the 2025 winner. Greek track triumphed on the grass in Mallorca, but for the first time since 2023 wants to listen to Winston-Salem a loss of three matches at tour level when returning to Winston-Salem.
Darderi has won three titles this year, in Marrakech, Bastad and Umag, but they all came to clay. The Italian world No. 34, which is two places of his career-high no. 32, has a 3-19 tour level record on hard courts.
4) Former winners return: Sebastian Baez, Roberto Bautista Agut and Pablo Carreno Busta will all try to reclaim the trophy in Winston-Salem. Bautista Agut plays for the first time since winning the title in 2017.
5) Salisbury/Skupski wants to strengthen the hope of Turin: Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski, who are number 5 in the ranking of PIF ATP Live Doubles teams, want to make their team debut at the Nitto ATP Finals. The British chase their first title of the season after four performances of the championship, including the Roland Garros final in June. They still live in the semi -final of Cincinnati.
