The Block presenter remains in place, despite a final that made headlines.
On Monday, media speculation swirled, thanks to radio chatter and clickbait articles combined, that Scott Cam would not be returning to The Block.
It follows a roller coaster auction that has been labeled ‘tough / hopeless / devastating / rigged’ and much more.
This is despite the fact that there is $749,999 in prize money, which is admittedly a lot less than the record harvest of $5.43 million in 2024.
But Cam isn’t leaving The Block juggernaut not yet.
He filmed teasers for the 2026 season to be held at Mt. Eliza, which were to be shown as part of Upfront 2025.
More specifically, Cam talked about journalists seeing Saturday’s auction being filmed while returning to the show.
Anything that speculates otherwise is incorrect.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Nine said of the reserves: “The reserve prices are determined through a comprehensive valuation process involving independent industry experts whose assessments are based on current market conditions and the intrinsic quality of the properties themselves.
“Each sales agent is also required by law to provide an indicative sales price during the campaign which is contained in an information statement, which also includes details of comparable sales and the median price. All indicative sales prices provided by the selling agents were $3 – $3.3 million.”
