Worcester, Mass.-de Worcester Railers Hockey Club, Echl branch of the New York Islanders, announced that the club has signed Tanner Schachle and Porter Schachle for the 2025-26 season.
Tanner Schachle, 28, again signs in Worcester after an 11-game Stint with the team last season. Schachle had five points (1G-4A) after an exchange with the Orlando Solar Bears. He played in 146 ECHL games during his four-year professional career, with 43 points (14G-29a) and 168 criminal minutes.
Prior to professional hockey, Schachle played four seasons of college hockey between the University of Alaska surchorage and Long Island University. In 74 collegial matches, the Wasilla, Alaska Native 21 points (9g-12a) registered with 153 penalty minutes. Before he played at the university, Schachle played three seasons in the North American Hockey League between the Kenai River Brown Bears and Fairbanks Ice Dogs. There he had 82 points (41G-41A) in 166 games together with 180 penalty minutes. Schachle played in one season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and achieved 10 points (4G-6A) and 99 criminal minutes in 53 games played.

Porter Schachle, 24, signs up to Worcester for his first season of professional hockey. He arrives in Worcester with four seasons of college-hockey experience, with a split time between the University of Vermont and the University of Alaska surchorage. In 114 collegial matches, Schachle had 32 points (18g-14a) together with 108 penalty minutes.
Prior to collegial hockey, Porter played 117 games in the NAHL between the Kenai River Brown Bears and Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks, a total of 76 points (35G-41A) together with 422 penalty minutes during his junior career.
