Shane Lowry is looking good heading into the third round of the India Championship on Saturday. Just not as good as the day before.
The 2019 Open champion followed up an opening round 64 with a 69 on Friday in the Delhi rankings. Despite the strong effort, Lowry saw his lead overtaken by a familiar face: European Ryder Cup teammate Tommy Fleetwood.
Fleetwood went eight under on Day 2 in India to reach a total of twelve under, one shot better than Lowry and 2023 Open champion Brian Harman.
Rory McIlroy has his work cut out for him this weekend. At six under he needs to make up six shots on Fleetwood to win.
