Sarfaraz last played for India in November 2024, and despite his absence from the national squad since then, his performances continue to make a strong case. The batter is brought in by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for IPL2026 at its base price of ₹75 lakh. The move marks another opportunity for Sarfaraz to revive his IPL journey after last playing in the league during the 2023 season with Capitals of Delhi.

In the 50 IPL matches so far, Sarfaraz has scored 585 runs at an average of 22.5, with a strike rate of 130.59. While the numbers may not fully reflect his domestic dominance, the CSK setup is known for supporting players and offering clearly defined roles.
