South African batting dominance: Wolvaardt leads from the front

In a rain-affected match reduced to 40 overs per side, South Africa posted a formidable 312/9. Captain Laura Wolvaardt again showed her class and scored a fluent 90 from 82 balls. She was supported by Sune Luus (61) and Marizanne Kapp (68 off 43), as the trio built strong partnerships to stabilize and accelerate the innings.

Nadine de Klerk’s explosive 41 off 16 balls, with four sixes, gave South Africa a perfect finish and helped them cross the 300-run mark for the first time in the tournament.

Pakistan’s struggle during the flight chase

Chasing a revised DLS target of 234 in 20 overs, Pakistan Women never found rhythm. Early breakthroughs from Marizanne Kapp dismantled their top order. Kapp’s fiery spell of 3/20 reduced Pakistan to 35/4 within 10 overs, leaving them with no chance of recovery.
