Royals Add Arajo, Devlin | Pro hockey news

Reading, PA.-The Reading Royals, Echl branch of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League, announced that defender Matt Arajo and Forward Liam Devlin.

Araujo, 25, starts his third full professional season after a 2024-25 campaign in the Echl between the Rapid City Rush and Utah Grizzlies, where he had four points (2G-2a) in 40 games. Araujo, born in Brookhaven, New York, opened his professional career in the SPHL with the Fayetteville markings from 2022-24, where he registered 38 points (8G-30a) in 65 games. He was also a SPHL All-smokie team selection in the 2023-24 season when he led all Marksmen defenders in goals (7) and points (36), as well as the entire club in Assists (29). In 105 Pro Career Games, Taraujo registered 42 points (10G-32A).

Before he became Pro, ARAUJO played in Suny-Plattsburgh from 2018-23, where he served two seasons as a team captain and registered 54 points (13G-41A) in 107 games. He earned second or third team All-Conference selections in all four seasons in Plattsburgh.

Devlin, 25, starts his first full professional season after skating in one regular season match for Orlando in April of the 2024-25 campaign. Devlin, from Needham, Massachusetts, signed at Orlando after a career of four seasons at the University of New Hampshire, where he gathered 83 points (43G-40a) in 132 career competitions.

With the Wildcats he received the Frank “The Fan” Halbert Fan Favorite Award in 2023-24 and recognized his popularity under the fan base of the Wildcats. Prior to his NCAA career, Devlin Junior played hockey with the Omaha Lancers and Chicago Steel in the United States Hockey League, where he amounted to 29 points (18g-11a) in 84 career matches.
