Ron Darling is convinced that Mets Legend and Loved Sny Analyst Keith Hernandez will be back in 2026.
The Hernandez contract was concluded after the 2025 season had completed the regional sports network, but that does not seem to have Darling worries that the temporary employment cabin will look different next year.
“Oh, 100 percent,” Darling said during a Performance on “Spiegel and Holmes” on 670 the score When he was asked about the contract situation of the former Mets First Baseeman.
“There is no way that we can even do what we do without Keith. When Gary Cohen and I do the broadcast themselves, it becomes the tendency to become a little nerdy because we are both a bit nerdy because of just who we are,” Darling said. “And Keith certainly illuminates it.”
“Nobody entertains better than Keith Hernandez.”

Hernandez, 71, signed a three -year contract extension in February 2023 and last week told Mike Puma’s post that he wanted to continue the job.
“My contract has risen, but I would like to continue in the stand. I enjoy what I do,” said Hernandez.
Hernandez came to Sny in 2006 when it was first launched, making the jump to the network after he had worked MSG Mets games.
The National League COVP from 1979 has become a beloved figure on MESS broadcasts, and the Sny Booth by Gary Cohen, Hernandez and Darling is often stopped as one of the best local broadcasting trios in MLB.
Hernandez has three Emmy Awards during his piece on Sny and earns the top ‘Sportsanalists’ in 2009, 2012 and 2015.
Hernandez was a member of the Mets of 1983-89 and was a member of the last Mets Squad to win a World Series title in 1986.
He is in the Hall of Fame of the Ballclub and his No. 17 retired by the Mets.
