Rockies @ Dodgers September 9, 2025: Dodgers are looking for a third consecutive victory such as Smith and Vesia Return – Dodgers Digest

The Dodgers (80-64) gained a dominant performance from a starter last night, with Tyler GlasNow Throw seven no-hit innings. He needed 105 throws to do this, which means the Dodgers GlasNow followed with Blake trains And Tanner Scottas they followed on Saturday Yoshinobu YamamotoIs almost without a hit bid. In contrast to that match, trains was effective with a 1-2-3 eighth, but Scott allowed a double (at a really good pitch from the zone, in front of the plate) to break the bid without a hit. Scott held in front of storage and for a second-right Dodger victory, to keep them first while the Padres defeated the Reds in extras. Tonight they go straight for three and get even more reinforcements back.

Emmet Sheehan Gets the start of a solid short-notice start in Pittsburgh. He started on Wednesday after Shohei Ohtani The (pitching) started with a disease and ran in 4 2/3 solid innings. He allowed a few Solo -homers and hit six before he was pulled with a runner on two in the fifth on 84 throws. He had covered 90 throws in each of his previous three starts and came from the longest start of his career, seven shutout (and a career-high 96 threw) against the Reds on 25 August. This will be Sheehan for the first time to see the Rockies in LA, but three of his 20 career startingist have arrived in Colorado. He allowed five points in 11 innings about his two starts against the Rockies in 2023, but had a rough time in Coors in August. He has passed six innings, but allowed four points on a few two-run homers (including Kyle body‘First Career Homer). Sheehan has been much better this season with a 2.63 ERA in 24 innings (4.40 ERA in 28 2/3 innings on the road).

Germán Márquez Gets his 23rd start of the season for the Rockies. It has been a rough attempt for Márquez since he came from his Tommy John in 2023, with a 6.19 ERA/4.96 FIP in 107 2/3 innings. Unlike many pitchers from Rockies, he has not really been the victim of Coors. He is absolutely better away from Coors, but still has an ERA of 5.95 and stands a .875 Ops on the road. Márquez missed most of August with a biceps injury, but came back two turns ago and struggled in two starts (both at home). He allowed eight points and nine hits against the Cubs on August 29 and four in the five innings previous time against the Giants. This will be Márquez’s third view of the Dodgers this season, and the previous two did not go well for him. The Dodgers chased him in the first inning in LA in April and tagged Márquez for six hits, seven points and two homers in 2/3 of a collection. At the end of June they squared in Coors and Márquez came to his best part of the season in that game, so that one point could be combined in his previous two starts. Márquez allowed two baserunners in the first three innings of that competition, but the wheels fell extremely in the fourth. Márquez was not accused of a deserved run, but gave six in the inning on two errors, two singles, a double and a homer.

Not great. The Fastballs of Márquez were destroyed this season. He leads with a four-seizer (32.3 percent use) and gives an average of .358 on EN .642 Sluggen off (expected numbers .323 and .596) with only a touch of 9.5 percent. He also throws his zinc 22.9 percent of the time with fairly comparable figures (.363 on average, .504 Slugging, 5.1 percent touch). He also thrown a knuckle curve with fairly good results 30.8 percent of the time. He has thrown away a .210 on average and .413 (.224 and .381 expected) and has a touch of 36.9 percent with it. It is also mixed in a slider (11.7 percent) and change (2.3 percent).

Will Smith Returns to the line -up and hits fourth. Teoscar Hernandez slips to the sixth, with Michael Comfort And Andy -Pages beat behind him. Miguel Rojas Gets the start in second place.

We are approaching dangerous levels of being back.

Roki Sasaki Pushed today in OKC. He was dominant for four innings before the wheels fell a little in the fifth. He allowed one hit about four Shutout-Inings with eight strikeouts, ran two in the fifth and allowed a single and a double for a three-run inning.

——

The bullpen is getting a little stronger today, such as Alex shutters is back from the il.

Ben Casparis It was chosen, which feels a bit of a surprise, but this is about as healthy as the Dodger -Bullpen has been this season.

——

A few other injury updates. Dalton Hurry is expected to start his rehabilitation assignment tomorrow, and Brock Stewart is still in line to go to Rehab next week.

Stewart threw a bull pen today and will be confronted with batters on Friday. If everything goes well, he must go to Rehab next week.

——

The first pitch is planned at 7:10 pm PT and will be on Sportnet LA.
