Dodgers 7, Rockies 2: Emmet Sheehan continues the Run of Starter Dominance, Bats Smash 4 Homers because they have won 3 straight – Dodgers -Digest

After taking the series opener against the Rockies, the Dodgers were looking for something called a winning series, and they managed to do exactly that. They have put the bats ahead early – Teoscar Hernandez Twice home, Mookie Betts And Freddie Freeman Did it once – and Emmet Sheehan Continued the trend of starters who dominated by going 7 frames and beating 9. That is now three in a row after a 7-2 victory.

=======

The attack needs a game to get them going a bit, and maybe old reliable German Marquez Is exactly what they needed.

After a 1st where they went down only 10 throws, the constant traffic started in the 2nd. Will Smith Handed down the inning with a double, went third in a deep flyball and scored a wild pitch for an early 1-0 lead.

Things started again with two out in the 3rd, such as Shohei Ohtani Ran, stable second and Mookie Betts continued to rake and hit his 17th Homer for a 3-0 lead.

In the 4th they again scored with one swing from Teoscar Hernandez, who bore his 22nd Homer to bring the score to 4-0.

The Dodgers again gathered against Marquez in the 5th, such as Andy -Pages Singled, tagged to continue to the second on a ball that hit the wall and then scored when Shohei burned a single to make the score at 5-0.

Mookie remained hot and doubled to place a few in a score position, but a strikeout and line -out ended that rally without a doubt.

Marquez’s night ended there, a consistent MVP for the Dodgers.

On the other hand, Emmet Sheehan, who had difficult acts to follow, was essentially emulated them.

He drove through an eight-pitch 1st and made a strikeout and then got two more in a 14-pitch 2nd. He then received a 3rd 3rd pitch, threw the same amount while he hit two in the 4th and only used 13 in the 5th. Sheehan was perfect by five on just 59 litters.

Unfortunately, the 6th started with a Softy-hit single from Kyle body To break that out, and then Michael Comfort Had a disaster on the left to drop a flyball single.

Ugh.

Sheehan returned with a strikeout, but then another blooper fell into and the rockies were on the board, 5-1.

He followed that by inducing a double play, so at least no damage or increased tension, although it sucked for him.

The big “rally” against Sheehan.

Sheehan immediately returned to the 7th and gave a one-out walk (his first), but hit the side to complete a dominant seven frames.

Sheehan rolls, man: 7 ip, 3 h, 1 r, 1 bb, 9 k, 93 throws.

After silent innings for the attack in the 6th and 7th, the 8th insurance behind it saw added Freddie Freeman‘S 20th Homer and the 23rd of Teoscar to make it 7-1.

To close the game, it was Alex shutters Back from an injury in the 8th, and he hit two in a clean frame. Kirby Yates Was looking for the 9th to find something, and he got the first two before he gives up a Homer.

Naturally.

Yes.
