“Operational workflows need to be strengthened for portability and user ownership of their information,” he said. The Hyderabad-based institute was set up by the RBI.
Malhotra, who visited the institute’s campus here on Thursday, asked the employees to work towards developing an efficient strategy to contain and minimize digital fraud to help maintain public confidence in the digital banking space.
He said there is a huge need to train bankers to make them IT-ready to operate in a digital work environment. “Training efforts need to be scaled up in a diversified mode of delivery on campus, online etc. to meet such needs,” an IDRBT statement said, quoting the RBI Governor.
He emphasized that in the evolving technology landscape and changing demands of the banking sector, the institute must develop a strategy for scalability and impact to meet sectoral needs.
