The former Indian all -rounder also remembered how the back injury of Jasprit Bumrah had once ruled him out of action for almost two years. He noticed that the bowler decrease in a high -pressure test could have been a risky gamble, so he was happy that the Pacer now prioritizes his body.
Ashwin also noticed: “His back issue is not normal. It has kept him out of the game for almost two years. He is a valuable asset to the Indian team. So the decision is the right one, and I am pleasantly surprised. I am very happy that Bumrah gives priority to his body because he will be very useful in the long term.”

Moreover, the former off-spinner explained why Kuldeep Yadav was not chosen for the current last test. He said that the wrist spinner would only play the role of a fourth sailor in these circumstances, so India went with their stronger pace attack.
