Thursday Night Football in Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season is a showdown in the AFC between the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins.
Let’s take a look at my Ravens vs. Dolphins predictions.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins Odds
Moneyline: Ravens -425 / Dolphins +325
Distribution: ravens -7.5 (-110) / dolphins +7.5 (-110)
Total: More than 50.5 (-110) / Less than 50.5 (-110)
Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins Best Bet No. 1: Ravens -7.5 (-110)
Both teams won last week, but the Ravens’ result is probably more telling. Their 30-16 loss to the Bears was indicative of what they were should are – what they should always have been and what they are likely to remain in the future. Depleted by injuries earlier this season, head coach John Harbaugh’s team is still just 2-5. When healthy, however, Baltimore is one of the most talented teams in football. It finally has a clean bill of health – and played like it last Sunday (even though Lamar Jackson was still sidelined).
The Dolphins are 2-6 after beating Atlanta 34-10 on the road in Week 8. That was a nice performance, but it probably says more about the Falcons than it did against the Finns. Keep in mind that Atlanta was playing with backup quarterback Kirk Cousins. Well, the cousins don’t walk through that door when the Ravens visit South Beach. Lamar Jackson is back for the first time since September, so Miami’s defense will be going up against one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Additionally, Derrick Henry scored two touchdowns last Sunday and rushed for 193 yards over the past two games. Yes, it hasn’t been washed. It’s also worth noting that coaching can play a bigger role when teams are playing on a short week, which is obviously the case with a Thursday Night Football assignment. Let’s go with the visitors to win and cover.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins Best Player Prop Bet: De’Von Achane Over 56.5 rushing yards (-114)
Miami should be committed to running the football on Thursday. The Dolphins’ best chance to limit Jackson and Henry is to relegate them to the sidelines for as long as possible and keep the clock running. Additionally, Baltimore’s run defense is not good. The Ravens are putting up 128.9 rushing yards per game on 4.5 yards per carry. Achane has surpassed the 60-yard mark in five of the last six games, a stretch that has included performances of 82, 99 and 128 yards.
