Marcus Rashford’s time at Manchester United is almost over. The Mancunian boy, who came to the club as a seven -year -old, was once considered the next big thing to look Carrington.
Rashford enjoyed great success among former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Erik ten Hag, but was out of favor under Ruben Amorim.
He was lent to Aston Villa at the beginning of this year and spent the second half of last season in Villa Park. With the Red Devils who focused on a complete overhaul of their attack in the summer, the 27-year-old was considered excess as requirements.
Rashford then moved to Barcelona on a season loan, and the Catalans also have an option to permanently sign him for € 30 million at the end of this campaign.
An impressive start in Spain
Rashford hit the ground after his move to Camp Nou. The Englishman has already scored two goals and set up two more of six games in all competitions.
United will be satisfied with his efforts, because it could convince Barcelona to record the option to permanently sign it next summer. In the meantime, the form of Rashford could also ignite a bidding war for his signature next year, with recent reports that suggest that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) also looks at him with interest.
Although the player has left for three years in his deal with United, he is no longer part of the plans of Amorim and the Red Devils would like to move him.
It has also been suggested that the La Liga champions could consider signing him permanently at the beginning of the year. However, it now seems that those reports may not be true.
Robert Lewandowski’s replacement in Camp Nou
Barcelona has so far been satisfied with the versions of Rashford and are pleased with his rapid integration in the Hansi Flick team. Unlike reports, there is no difference in the valuation of the player between the Catalans and United.
According to Sky SportsThe Blaugrana is not yet considering the option to permanently sign it.
The Spanish champions remain under financial need and cannot currently enjoy such discussions because of the finances involved. Barcelona covers Rashford’s complete wages in the loan agreement, which is a different obstacle for a permanent stay.
The Engelsman is one of the highest earners in Laliga, and the Catalans might have trouble housing his transfer costs and his salary in their books in 2026. Although the player wants to make his stay permanent, the long -term planning will be needed to materialize the move.
Interestingly, Barcelona will probably offer Adieu to Robert Lewandowski next summer, who recently turned 37 and is in the last year of his contract. Rashford’s ability to play as number 9 also makes him a candidate to replace the legendary post in Camp Nou.
However, if the Catalans are planning to sign a proven striker instead, the future of the Englishman could further examine, because the club may not have the finances to house both deals.
