Rainford TTC receives Sport England Funding – Table Tennis England

Rainford Table Tennis Club, based in St. Helens, is pleased to announce that they have secured insurance Funding for Sport England to launch a brand new program of table tennis sessions specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s disease. The successful financing application, valued at £8,610will help the club expand its inclusive offering and provide local residents with more opportunities to stay active through table tennis.

The project is delivered to the club new location in Rainfordwhere specialist equipment, coaching support and volunteer training will ensure sessions are safe, enjoyable and tailored to the needs of participants. Table tennis is increasingly recognized as a useful physical activity for people with neurological conditions, supporting improvements in balance, coordination and general well-being.

Club organizers say the initiative will not only promote regular physical activity, but also create a welcoming social environment for participants and their families. The funding will enable the club to keep participation costs low and remove barriers for new players potentially taking their first steps in the sport.
