Quartet selected to represent England on European U13 Championships – Table Tennis England

Four young English athletes will travel to Sweden to compete in September at the European championships under 13 years old.

Double National Champion Amber Lemmon, who won the Onder-12 and Under-13 titles this season at the Mark Bates Ltd U10-13 National Championships, will participate in the singles of the girls, together with Assil Sarri.

Competition in the boys’ singles will be under 13 under the 12 national Dimitar Dimitrov champion and national champion Surensoy.

Sinan Surensoy and Amber Lemmon both won National Singles titles in 2024/25

In addition to singles, the competition has a mixed team and mixed double competitions – the Doubles combinations are Dimitrov & Lemmon and Sursoy & Sarri.

The team is coached by Charlotte Carey and Ben Barlow.

Head of Pathway Development Emma Vickers said: “The European U13 championships is the Pinnacle event for our best U13 players, who represent the highest level of continental competition in this age category.

“It is an opportunity for our players to test themselves against the best in Europe and offers a step to European competition at a higher level. We wish all our players good luck in the event.”

The competition takes place in Kosta, Sweden, from 24-28 September.
