Pro-Net has announced that the Proton eMas 5, launched on October 30, has amassed more than 10,000 bookings to date, while 7,413 Proton eMas 7s have been sold by the end of October (6,954 locally, 459 overseas), cementing its position as Malaysia’s best-selling EV over the past ten months.
“We are truly humbled by the continued support Malaysians have shown for both the Proton eMas 7 and now the Proton eMas 5. Every booking received is the vote of confidence Malaysians have in us to deliver the eMas 5 to the highest standards. As a national automaker, we will continue to uphold our responsibility to make electric mobility more accessible and reliable,” said Zhang Qiang, CEO of Pro-Net.

Unsurprisingly, most eMas 5 orders come from the central region, followed by the southern and northern regions, while “demand from East Malaysia and the east coast is also on an upward trend.”
The next Proton eMas model will most likely be the first with an engine, and here’s how well Proton did as a whole last month. More about the eMas 5 here, the eMas 7 here and in case you missed it, the Proton Saga 2026 is open for booking for an estimated RM40k-50k. There’s another national EV coming very soon – and it’s not from Proton. Exciting times!
