Price for sharks, Maple Leafs Not Done, and more NHL rumors – The Hockey Writers NHL Rumors Latest News, Analysis and more

In the expired NHL rumors of today, the Toronto Maple Leafs may have a moving sleeve. In the meantime, are the San Jose Sharks the most likely landing site for a Carey Price Trade? Finally, three trade proposals, including those with the Pittsburgh Penguins, share a consistent theme. What is it?

Maple Leafs to move at least one more?

The Toronto Maple Leafs are not necessarily done to reform their selection. After exchanging Mitch Marner to the Golden Knights in a drawing-and-trade for Nicolas Roy and adding Mattias Maccelli and Dakota Joshua, the Leafs still explore options to strengthen their top-six forward group.

According to James Mirtle of the Athletic, Toronto shops the Handelsmarkt, where Brandon Carlo pops up like a potential possession to move. He writes:

“The front office is still looking for that upgrade beforehand. I do not expect Matias Maccelli, Roy and Dakota Joshua it is for forward adds, especially given that at least two of them should be in the lower six. And the biggest reasons why Carlo could go the other way: Toronto does not have much otherwise to act differently.”

When Mirtle speaks that Carlo dangles in a possible trade, it is under the context that the blue line of Toronto could also see changes. With a group consisting of Morgan Rielly, Chris Tanev, Carlo, Jake McCabe, Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Simon Benoit, the management reportedly wants to add a Puck-moving defender to improve the transition game. Carlo is not. He writes: “Part of the reason that they were enclosed in the play -offs in the Panters, their inability was to be able to handle Florida’s forecheck, and that is reflected in the struggles of the Leafs, the outbreak of the puck and maintaining pressure in the offensive zone.”

Sharks is probably on site to send Carey Price?

There is speculation that the Montreal Canadiens and San Jose Sharks explore a trade with the contract of Carey Price, a movement that can help both teams to tackle schedule and caps. Marco d’Amico From RG.org and Sheng Peng from Sjhockey now believe that there is something about this idea.

With the sharks at 49 of their 50 contracts, they would probably send two contracts to Montreal to create space, thereby erasing space to sign top perspective Michael Misa. The Canadiens have the space to take on those contracts.

Moving Price, who would help a cap hit of $ 10 million and $ 5.5 million signing bonus (paid yesterday), would be Montreal compatible and at the same time create space to pursue a second-line center.

Early discussions suggest a framework in which the price and a concept choice go to San Jose in exchange for prospects Artem Guryev and Gannon Laroque.

Penguins weighing veteran trade in proposed trade fields

The Pittsburgh Penguins are one of the most active potential sellers of the NHL, where GM Kyle Dubas reportedly explores multiple trade scenarios for experienced stars. Three fake transactions by Josh Wegman from the score discuss potential options.

The first trade suggested that the Penguins Erik Karlsson moved to the Carolina Hurricanes. The second was that Bryan was sent to the Detroit Red Wings. Rickard Rakell let the third go to the Vancouver Canucks.

For Pittsburgh, the strategy concentrates to save young assets and design capital to start a rebuilding while franchise icons Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang hold in place. In every deal, Wegman focuses on the penguins that get a first round pick in exchange, plus a valuable NHL player.

The proposed Carolina deal would yield a first round Pick, prospect Felix Unger Sörum and defender Shayne Gostisbeere-a Flippable Activum. A trade with Detroit for rest could yield another first Rounder Plus prospects Jonatan Berggren and William Wallinder. The range of Vancouver for Rakell includes the young attacker Nils Höglander and promising defender Dmitri Kudryavtsev.

It is important to note that these are only trade proposals. There is no news that suggests that these transactions have been discussed.
