Premier League team of the weekend – Haaland, Guehi, Welbeck

Our Premier League team of the weekend is celebrating the best artists of the weekend, with striking displays from Arsenal, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Man City Stars.

We have assembled our line-up in a 3-4-3 formation to fit into a trio of Center-Forwards. Do you agree with our selection? Let us know in the comments below!

Premier League team of the weekend:

GK: Robin Roefs – Sunderland

It is time to take the defense of Sunderland seriously. In their first six games since obtaining promotion, they have only admitted four goals, the Joint Derde least in the division.

Robin Roefs has been one of the main reasons for their reliability, as he showed against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The Dutch goalkeeper has made six rescues, more than any other keeper at the weekend, to help the Black Cats keep a clean sheet and to guarantee their third victory of the campaign. They are now fifth in the table on 11 points.

CB: Marc Guehi – Crystal Palace

We could have chosen one of the Crystal Palace defenders from their victory over Liverpool on Saturday. They have all done a collective disciplined and diligent performance, making a combined 59 defensive actions between them

However, if there was one player we had to choose, it is Marc Guehi. The Center-Back scored the opening goal against the team that he had to participate on the Deadline day before the deal was canceled, while also made seven approvals, one interception, two recovery and a great opportunity.

CB: Marcos Senesi – Bournemouth

Who needs Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi if you have Marcos Senesi? The middle behind was excellent against Leeds United, even if Bournemouth admitted twice.

With the opposition that the cherries put under heavy pressure during the game, he made seven coils, two blocks, three interceptions and three recovery to keep them in the game. And then continued helping the equalizer of Eli Junior Kroupi in stopping time. Excellent.

CB: Santiago Bueno – Wolves

Wolves came close to their first victory of the season on Saturday evening, to be refused by a deceased Joao Palhinha equalizer. Santiago Bueno was central to them and earned a point on Spurs and scored their goal as they worked tirelessly at the back. The Uruguayan completed four tackles, four clearance, three interceptions and three recovery.

RW: Yankuba Mineteh – Brighton

Yankuba MINTEH continues to prove that he is a brilliant signing from Brighton. The winger offered the assist for the equalizer of Danny Welbeck against Chelsea, which set up a second half of comeback to win 3-1.

The Gambian made a mockery of the lush editions of Chelsea to broad attackers and schooled them about how it was done in the last third part. His last ball still needs a little work, but his cross for the goal, which was classified as a big chance, was absolutely perfect.

Only one player had more accents in the opposition box than MINTEHs 12, who illustrated what a handful he was for the blues.

CM: Sean Longstaff – Leeds United

The 2-2 draw on Saturday between Leeds and Bournemouth may have witnessed Sean Longstaff’s greatest performance ever in the Premier League.

The midfielder waved in a fantastic attack from the edge of the box to put the whites first, but he was fantastic in all parts of the game. He created seven chances, more than any other player at the weekend, of which two were big opportunities. But he also brought a huge shift on the other side of the ball, causing 13 defensive contributions.

What sorcery did Daniel Farke work to unlock what a consistent unobtrusive player for Newcastle was?

CM: Declan Rice – Arsenal

Another typical strong display from Declan Rice, whose assist for the equalizer of Mikel Merino against Newcastle was the scene for a dramatic late victory on Sunday. It was one of the three chances that the Arsenal star created, while he also dominated in midfielder and this week fits more in the last third (30) completed than every player in the Premier League.

Moreover, rice made five recovery, three clearance, one block and one tackle in a great all -round performance.

Bukayo Saka – Small things like VAR always go against Arsenal

LW: Jeremy Doku you

Jeremy Doku is on a mission to incorrectly prove all the doubters this season. Yes, it was ‘only’ Burnley, but his contribution to the 5-1 victory of Manchester City was shooting.

The Belgian winger won 11 duels, completed eight dribbles, had an absolutely massive 22 touches in the opposition box and completed 27 successful passes in the last third part. He somehow ended the game with just one assist, but earned so much more.

RF: Danny Welbeck – Brighton

Danny Welbeck absolutely plays to play against Chelsea. The striker of Brighton scored twice on Stamford Bridge on Saturday in a 3-1 comeback victory, who curved his impressive record against the blues.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United Forward has been directly involved in seven goals (5 goals, 2 assists) in eight Premier League matches against Chelsea for Brighton, more than against any other side in the competition for De Meeuwen.

CF: Erling Haaland – Man City

Burnley defended admirable to a large part of their meeting with City, but in the end there is no stopping of Erling Haaland when he is in the mood. The Norway International eventually found the net late and took a brace to bring its count to eight goals for the season.

Haaland finished well from the cross of Doku for the fourth of the city before he used a mix-up at the back of the fifth. He also helped Matheus Nunes for the second goal of the day of his party.

LF: Igor Thiago – Brentford

It has been a remarkable journey for Igor Thiago so far. From losing his father when he was only 13 and worked as a bricklayer to become a Premier League footballer and scoring the goals that Manchester United defeated.

The Brazilian striker shot in a thumping strike of a long ball to open the score before he doubled Brentford’s lead with a tap-in. He already has four goals in the competition, plus another in the League Cup this season. The ability of the bees to find target scores like this is incredible.
