Our Premier League team of the weekend returns for Gamweek Two while we look at the striking artists in the division.

Premier League team of the weekend (4-2-3-1):

GK: Jordan Pickford – Everton

Everton can thank Jordan Pickford for a perfect start to life in the Hill Dickinson Stadium, because the goalkeeper Danny Welbeck denied to hold a clean sheet against Brighton. No other keeper made more saves (four) at the weekend than he did.

RB: Jurrien Timber – Arsenal

This will fall as one of the best versions of Jurrien Timber in an Arsenal shirt. Not only did the Gunners not admit, but their defenders were also seriously involved in the attack.

Nothing more than the Dutchman, who scored two goals and set up another in a 5-1 win over Leeds United.

CB: Cristian Romero – Spurs

After a rocky first half hour against Man City on Saturday afternoon, the Tottenham Hotspur defense used a very solid display to get away with a clean leaf.

Cristian Romero masterly led the backline and made two successful tackles, six recovered, three clearance, one block and three interceptions. City just couldn’t find a way past him.

CB: Marcos Senesi – Bournemouth

Few players have placed just as much shift this weekend as Marcos Senesi. No player in the Premier League has made more approvals (11) in Gameweek Two than the Bournemouth Center-Back, which also completed four recovery, two interceptions and one tackle against Wolves. He was central to the 1-0 home victory of the Cherries.

LB: Riccardo Calafiori – Arsenal

An excellent daily work by Riccardo Calafiori, who looked excellent against Leeds. The Italian may have been surpassed by his teammate on the other side of the backline, but he was nevertheless integral in both defense and attacks and registered two assists.

CM: João Palhinha – Spurs

The midfield of Tottenham bully the physical man City and Joao Palhinha stood in the heart of their heroic efforts. The former Fulham man has the habit of distorting the team form when he speeds up challenges everywhere on the field, but he was very disciplined in the Thomas Frank system.

CM: Moises Caicedo – Chelsea

Chelsea will not have much easier nights than last Friday, because they are rough over West Ham and won 5-1 at the London Stadium. Moises Caicedo provided one of those goals, while again showing that he is the engine that results in this midfield. The 23-year-old touched the ball 87 times and was not expropriated once.

Cam: Joao Pedro – Chelsea

The defense of the hammers was a mess, but you can’t take anything away from the performance of Joao Pedro. The Brazilian opened the score and offered two assists to play a key role in Chelsea Dismantling from their London rivals. He looks like £ 60 million well spent.

RW: Yankuba Mineteh – Brighton

Yankuba MINTEH did not get away with a goal or assisting, but he earned at least one in Everton on Sunday. The wing player was a huge threat and constantly entered dangerous areas in the box.

The toffees could not get a grip and were lucky to get away with a clean leaf. Minteh had more accents this weekend in the opposition box (13) than any other player in the Premier League, while only two other players created so many opportunities (four). One was a big chance for Danny Welbeck, who exceeded the ball slightly before he hit the ball.

LW: Jack Grealish – Everton

It feels like before since we last got a glimpse of Jack Grealish on his side best. Everton’s Lennee should be very nice this season to see if his full debut is something to visit.

The wing player waved in a perfect cross for Iliman Ndiaye to start, before they set up James Garner for their second to seal the first victory on their new terrain.

CF: Viktor Gyokeres – Arsenal

Big Vik still finds his feet in the Mikel Arteta and the Premier League system, but the Swedish striker took the opportunity to fill his boots against weaker opposition with both hands.

Gyokees used his pace and strength to place himself in a great position in the box before he threw in the nearby pole in front of his opener. With Bukayo Saka outside the field because of an injury, he took on punishment to score his second and Arsenal’s fifth of the day.
