Paul Pogba reportedly agreed a two-year-old deal with Monaco and that would see the ex-manchester United midfielder connect with the former Arsenal Striker Folarin Balogun
Paul Pogba is said to be about to join Monaco after having spent almost two years away from football because of a doping ban, with the former Manchester United and Juventus star who join ex-Arsenale striker Folarin Balogun.
Pogba initially received a ban of four years after testing positively testing the forbidden Dhea substance, but that was reduced to 18 months after he won an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport. He was free to play again in March, but still has to become a member of a new club after his contract with Juventus ended in November.
French outlet The Parisian have reported that Pogba was signed with Monaco close to signing a two -year contract, after he has made ‘significant financial sacrifices’ to agree a deal. However, asked about his future on the podcast of Sergio Aguero KunPogba said, “I have not signed anything, but there is interest. We will see.”
When Pogba eventually comes to Monaco, he will count a number of fellow Prime Minister League players as teammates. This includes Balogun, who came to Monaco from Arsenal in 2023.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a decent debut campaign, in which eight goals pay attention to 32 games in all competitions, but struggled last season with injury problems that limited him to only seven starts.

However, Balogun is a proven goal scorer in Ligue 1 after 21 goals in 37 games during a loan saying at Reims. Balogun later stated that he decided to go to France because he wanted to step out of his comfort zone and challenge himself, with the decision praising him from former Arsenal and Monaco star Thierry Henry.
“I am really happy for him because in general English players do not go abroad – normally players are borrowed from another Premier League side or in the championship,” Henry said Prime video in 2022.
“He is a very English player who likes to end the channels, but he missed something, which was his finish. He is now starting to score goals regularly and I am happy with that, glad he went abroad.
“It is especially given that he is a Londoner – in the local Londoners who have difficulty leaving London. When I heard he was coming to France, it reminded me that he has a refreshing mindset.”
Balogun was born in America, but grew up in London after emigration to England when he was only two years old. At the age of 10 he joined the Academy of Arsenal and represented both England and the US at the age group level before he finally decided to play for America at senior level.
And his decision to explain before America came after he was omitted from Gareth Southgate’s first English team for 2023, despite his impressive form for Reims. After the team was announced, Balogun seemed to focus on England as he placed on Instagram: “Go into life where you are appreciated. Be easy.”
Only a few months later it was announced that he had committed himself to the US and since then he has always been present for them, although he still has to appear under Mauricio Pochettino because of his recent injury thrusts.
