PNB Housing Finance -Shares crashing 17% after discharge from MD & CEO, Girish Kougi

Shares of PNB Housing Finance refueled on Friday with 16.9% to touch an intraday layer of RS 819.25 each on the BSE after the company had announced the resignation of his director and chief executive officer, Girish Kougi.

According to an exchange request, Kougi offered his resignation through a letter of 30 July to pursue opportunities outside the company. The Board of Directors accepted his resignation during his meeting on July 31, with the dismissal in force from the end of office hours on October 28, 2025.

“The board also noted that Girish Kougi ceases to be the director of the Board of Directors of PHFL Home Loans and Services Limited, and Pehel Foundation, the company’s subsidiaries, with effect from 28 October 2025 (closing of office hours),” said the submission.

The board of directors expressed their sincere appreciation for the leadership, mentorship and the dedicated service of Kougi during his term of office as director and chief executive officer of the company.

The copy of the letter of resignation was attached with the submission stated that Kougi resigned after a three -year stint at the company. “I want to resign from the position of MD & CEO of PNB Housing Finance Limited. I take this opportunity to thank each member of the board, all stakeholders, management and colleagues for their trust and support. It was an exciting and rewarding journey professional and different,” he said.

In another application at the stock exchange, the company gave an update after the representation of MD & CEO, which said that “PNB Housing Finance re -confirms involvement in growth and stability in the midst of changes in leadership team”. “The company confirms that its strategic priorities, business focus and growth trajectories remain, based on the strong foundation that is the company. When delivering its strong performance, the goals of the company will continue to achieve robust growth, activa quality and marges,” said the application. Inheritance of PNB home financing will further improve.

PNB HOUSING Financial share price history

PNB shares for homes have fallen by almost 25% in the past month and 18% in the past three months. Despite the recent weakness, the share has risen by 3.82% in the past year and has achieved a strong return of 386% for five years.
