The East-leading Detroit Pistons dominated the Cleveland Cavaliers for a rare road victory, 114-110, on Sunday night.

Despite the Pistons playing without two starters, Cade Cunningham dropped 27 points and Daniss Jenkins added 25, snapping a nine-game losing streak at Rocket Arena and beating Cleveland for the second time in 15 games.

Cunningham went 11 for 11 from the line and made all 21 free throw attempts.

Cavaliers superstar Donovan Mitchell scored 30-23 after halftime to pace Cleveland, which trailed by 13 with less than five minutes to go before cutting Detroit’s lead to 108-106 on Darius Garland’s basket with 1:16 remaining.

Detroit forward Ausar Thompson scored on a tip-in with 17.2 seconds left, and Jenkins made four free throws in the final 5.7 seconds to put the Cavs away.

Meanwhile, Jenkins set the franchise scoring record for the Pistons in a single quarter after his 21-point outburst on 7-for-7 shooting in the second.

He broke the previous mark of 20 points, shared by Ron Hollan in 2024 and Jodie Meeks in 2014.

The Pistons were short on sidelined players, including Tobias Harris, Jalen Duren and Caris LeVert, who were out with injuries that could keep them out for several weeks.

Detroit is aiming for another dub when they host the Knicks on Monday, while the Cavaliers travel to Indiana on Tuesday.
