The Phoenix Suns defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder after Devin Booker hit the game-winning three-pointer over Alex Caruso 108-105 on Sunday night.
The Suns superstar took the late inbounds pass and made a deep shot, shaking a season-long slump with 0.7 seconds left, followed by Ajay Mitchell’s missed third-down shot at the buzzer that would have tied the game.
Jordan Goodwin dropped 26 points with a career-high eight 3-pointers to snap the Thunder’s four-game winning streak, while Booker added 24 and Brooks had 22.
Shai-Gilgeous Alexander led Oklahoma with 25 points, while Jalen Williams had 23.
The Suns trailed by 18 in the second quarter but rallied late in the fourth quarter despite leading by four points.
Dillon Brooks made a big three-pointer on Gilgeous-Alexander with 36 seconds left to give the Suns a 105-101 lead.
Chet Holmgren hit a turnaround jumper to cut the score to 105-103 with 26 seconds left.
Brooks had a turnover on the ensuing possession, and Williams stepped back to tie the score at 105 with 8.2 seconds left.
Phoenix trailed 49-31 in the second quarter but rallied from 71-70 late in the third on Ryan Dunn’s 3-pointer and took a 74-73 lead in the fourth.
The Thunder built a 24-9 lead in the first inning, while the Suns missed their first eight three-point attempts.
Oklahoma looks to bounce back when it hosts Charlotte, while Phoenix is on the road against Houston on Monday.
