A current PFL champion received a pleasant surprise from Joe Rogan during the UFC 319 broadcast.
It is not often that someone from PFL receives a mention on a UFC show, but that is exactly what happened during the ESPN part of the UFC 319 prelims. During a strowen conflict between Loopy Godinez and Jessica Andrade, Rogan Liz Carmouche’s 2025 called PFL ladies flying weight tournament.
“By the way, shout at Liz Carmouche,” said Rogan. “First wife who ever enters the UFC hike, and at the age of 41 the PFL tournament won last night. Yes, Mr. Ko. Shout for Liz.”
It was a left hand of Carmouche that collapsed Jena Bishop to the canvas. The 33-Fight veteran ended it with a few hammerfists to win the tournament.

Carmouche caught the wind of Rogan’s Shoutout and she was asked about it during her interview with Danny Segura van van Mmajunkie.com.
“I had quite a few people who tag and share me with my story (on Instagram),” Carmouche told MMA Junkie. “It was really cool to see that someone else’s mention is a big problem. And for someone like Joe Rogan, that is an even bigger deal for him to call something in a positive light. I was certainly on Cloud Nine when I saw Joe Rogan’s Shout-out against me.”
Carmouche participated in the first female fight of the UFC. She was submitted by Ronda Rousey in a Bantamweight Championship Headliner from UFC. Carmouche eventually went to Bellator, where she became world champion for the first time in her Pro MMA career.
At the age of 41, Carmouche is that she holds PFL-Gold in the midst of a three-field extraction streak. She only suffered one defeat in her last 12 fights. “Girl-Rilla” said Segura that she does not often take the time to admire her work, and even admitted that she was surprised with how much she was able to achieve.
