Pep Guardiola says he is ashamed of his embarrassing behavior at St James’ Park

Pep Guardiola looked the epitome of the proverbial sore loser with his embarrassing behavior at St James’ Park on Saturday.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United team absolutely deserved their win and the Manchester City boss couldn’t handle it.

Having lost just one of their last fourteen matches in all competitions and winning eleven, two of which were drawn, Pep Guardiola let his frustration get the better of him as his players lost the day’s match to a better team.

The away team manager confronted Bruno Guimaraes in an embarrassing manner.

He also did the same to the match referee.

Although perhaps most embarrassing of all, Pep Guardiola even confronted a cameraman.

Pep Guardiola has now apologized, saying he is embarrassed and ashamed as he reflects on his behavior at St James’ Park.

The Manchester City manager was pictured lifting a cameraman’s headphones to speak into his ear now on Monday ahead of their Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen, which will be played on Tuesday, Pep Guardiola said:

“I apologize. I am embarrassed and ashamed.”

“I don’t like it. I apologized after a second.

“I am who I am.

“Even after a thousand matches I am not a perfect person, I make big mistakes.

“What is certain is that I defend my team and my club.

“The reason for this is that I want to defend my team and my club. There is no doubt about that.”

“From my experience, to win the Premier League we need to have 100 points and 98 points, otherwise we won’t win.”
