Pelicans vs Thunder injury report: Key absences ahead of Tuesday’s clash – TalkBasket.net

The New Orleans Pelicans travel to the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center on Tuesday, January 27, with tip-off at 8:00 PM ET. New Orleans enters the game with a record of 12-36, while the Thunder lead the Western Conference at 37-10.

The Pelicans have to deal with it multiple injuriesincluding Dejounte Murray, who remains sidelined with a right Achilles tendon rupture. Trey Alexander and Hunter Dickinson will not play due to two-way assignments in the G League.

Oklahoma City is also facing significant absences, with Alex Caruso out with a right adductor strain and Isaiah Hartenstein sidelined with a right soleus strain. Ajay Mitchell will miss the match with a stomach ache, while Thomas Sorber and Nikola Topic are not recovering from surgery. Cason Wallace is listed as questionable due to left hip soreness, and Jalen Williams is sidelined with a right hamstring strain.

New Orleans has won its last two games, beating the San Antonio Spurs 104-95 on Jan. 25 and the Memphis Grizzlies 133-127 on Jan. 23. Oklahoma City, meanwhile, has dropped its previous two games, losing 101-103 to the Toronto Raptors and 114-117 to the Indiana Pacers.

The Thunder dominated the season series, winning both games against New Orleans: 137-106 on November 2 and 126-109 on November 17.
