Patrick Dorgu may have struggled for game time at Manchester United of late, but his stock remains high.
The Danish left-back first caught the eye at Lecce, prompting INEOS to pay a reported £25 million for him in January this year.
Dorgu was part of the Red Devils team that struggled last season, and he finished the season with one assist in twenty games in all competitions.
Out of favor this season
Dorgu started the 2025/26 season as first-choice left winger, but lost his place to Diogo Dalot in recent weeks.
The 21-year-old returned to the starting line-up in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, which marked his first start in five games.

Dorgu was expected to reach a whole new level this season, but he has struggled to live up to expectations so far.
Although he has shown purpose and tenacity on the pitch, critics will argue that the Dane’s decision-making in the final third has let him down.
Despite finding strategic positions near the penalty area, his final balls were inadequate. Nevertheless, the youngster is expected to improve as he gains valuable experience at both club and international level.
Until now, Dorgu has largely served as cover for Joakim Maehle for Denmark. However, with the Wolfsburg full-back currently unavailable, the youngster played the full 90 minutes in the 2-2 draw against Belarus in Saturday’s World Cup qualifiers. Denmark manager Brian Riemer, meanwhile, has no doubts about the United man’s abilities.
The complete package
Recently spoken, as relayed by Tipsbladet via Sports witnessRiemer praised Dorgu as the complete package.
“He has everything. He has a physique that cannot be improved upon, can run insanely fast, you can’t push him away and he is aggressive in his game. He is the whole package,” said Riemer.
“But he is a young man who, compared to Joakim Mæhle, has not been in so many decisive situations, and he is of course currently building up that experience.”
With Diogo Dalot not faring any better, Dorgu will likely get opportunities to cement his place in Amorim’s starting XI as the season progresses. If the Dane can improve his performances in the final third, the Red Devils’ position at full-back could be secure for the next decade.
