Whether directly related or not, the UFC’s debut on Paramount+ in January will coincide with the streaming service increasing its price.
As reported by VarietyWhile discussing its Q3 2025 numbers, Paramount noted that “continued investments in Paramount+ are increasing the value we deliver to consumers. To support these continued investments, we plan to implement price increases in the U.S. early in the first quarter of 2026.”
Those price increases have now been revealed. Starting January 15, 2025, Paramount+ will see the ad-supported version known as Essential increase by $1 monthly to $8.99 per month. The ad-free version, known as Paramount+ Premium, will also increase by a dollar to $13.99 per month. Annual subscriptions will also increase, with Paramount+ Essential costing $89.99 per year and Paramount+ Premium $139.99 per year. Still cheaper than paying monthly, mind you.
The company is also raising prices in Australia and Canada. Paramount+ recently announced a streaming deal with the UFC in Australia, although in Canada, where the service has a minimal presence, UFC events will still take place on SportsNet (Fight Nights, PPV undercards) and traditional Pay-Per-View.
In the US, Australia, Brazil and Latin America, Paramount+ will be the exclusive home to all UFC events, including numbered events previously offered on a Pay-Per-View basis. So while Paramount+ may be raising its prices, it’s still a bargain for UFC fans, as a one-year subscription to Essential is less than the cost of traditionally two UFC events.
While the UFC debut on Paramount+ has not yet been officially announced, it is expected to arrive in the second half of January. According to a report from Nolan King of MMA Junkiethe promotion has applied for a permit to host an event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on January 24, which is expected to be a numbered event, likely UFC 324.
