This could be the last time fans see Paddy Pimblett compete in January or February, as the Liverpool native has made it clear he plans to never enter the octagon this early in the year again.
The Baddy’ will fight Justin Gaethje later this week and headline UFC 324, where the interim lightweight title is up for grabs. During fight week, Pimblett appeared in an interview with CBS Sports Golazo, where he confessed that he never plans to fight in January or February again because it interferes with his birthday as well as his Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Pimblett had to spend the last two or three months in training camp for UFC 324 and was unable to binge eat, something he normally enjoys.
“I’m never fighting in January or February again. I just hope everyone at the UFC knows that because it ruined my Christmas and my birthday, so I’ll never fight that early in the year again.”

Pimblett, who turned 31 on January 3, has also postponed his birthday celebrations until Jan. 24 and hopes to celebrate once he beats Gaethje on Saturday and takes home the interim lightweight title.
The Brit also has an afterparty at the Zouk Night Club on January 24, which he informed fans about via Instagram.
Paddy Pimblett plans to fight again in June or July
If Paddy Pimblett is crowned interim lightweight champion at UFC 324, he plans to re-enter the octagon in June or July for the title unification bout with champion Ilia Topuria. Topuria, on the other hand, wants to fight anytime between April and June and is currently on hiatus for personal reasons.
‘The Baddy’ plans to give ‘El Matador’ a taste of his own medicine by making him wait. He told TMZ Sports:
“He’ll have to wait. He made me wait, he can wait a few months. April isn’t coming, boy… he can eat sh*t. I’ll fight in June/July.”
