With so many restaurants, attractions and cool pop-ups in Manhattan, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by options, especially if you try to get the most out of a perfect early autumn day in the city. To limit it, we asked ourselves Madeleine Auffenberg From the New York agency to share its ideal 24-hour travel schedule. From morning coffee to the Happy Hour on the roof, she would spend a day sucking up the very best in the center of Manhattan.
Morning: breakfast at Rigor Hill Market
Tribeca, Manhattan
My best days always start with good coffee, and Rigor Hill Market Is my go-to. It is put in the heart of Tribeca and feels like one of those neighborhood secrets – lifted but still casual. I grab an ice -cold latte and their egg sandwich or a fresh pastries (their fried products are at the next level) and sit outside if I can hold a table. From there, a short walk to the waterfront at Pier 25 is the perfect way to illuminate the day – Quiet, Breezy and somehow peacefully even in the city.
Afternoon: Lunch Thais Restaurant
Nolita, Manhattan

When it’s time for lunch, I try to beat the line Thai dinner in Nolita. The atmosphere is fun, a little kitschy and the food is always delicious. My favorite dish is the Yum Kai Hua Pli but honest warning, it is very tough (in the best way). You can’t go wrong with the crab fried rice or the Thai disco fries. The space is cozy and full of energy, perfect for lunch that keeps you just a little longer.
Leave Afternoon: West Village Strolt or The high line

After lunch I go west – because early autumn afternoons in West Village are the best. I like to wander that lined with trees, crooked streets (such as trade or wheelbarrow), peek in independent bookshops or stop in Three Lives & Company For a new reading. You can also grab an ice coffee Elk And just wander – it’s the ultimate reset. If I long for a little more culture, I go a bit to the north to Chelsea. I will walk The high lineCome in a few art galleries, or admire the architecture along the tenth Avenue.
Pre-dinner drinks: Exaggerate
Financial District, Manhattan

As Golden Hour approaches, it’s time for cocktails with a view. Overload in the financial district is without a doubt one of the most amazing roofs in the city. The atmosphere is chic without trying too hard, and the 360-degree view of Manhattan, Brooklyn and beyond are unbeatable. My go-to orders here are the easy money or the maravilla-getting perfect for sucking sunset while the city is starting to glow.
Dinner: Crown
Financial District, Manhattan

Fortunately you don’t have to go far for dinner -Crown Is exactly in the same building. I love this place because it is luxurious without feeling hidden. The service is warm, the space is beautiful and the food always delivers. The grilled carrots are a crowd puller.
Dessert: Softs
Nolita

As a dessert, I make a line Softside in Nolita. It is a cute, somewhat under-the-radar soft-serve place that I am obsessed with. My go-to order is the riff-vanilla soft serve with that direct balance between salty and sweet toppings. I grab it and take a slow walk through the charming side streets of Nolita before I go home. What I like best about the center of Manhattan in the early fall is how much variation you can pack in a day – historic charm, dining, drinks on the roof and peaceful river moments all within walking distance. If you plan your own perfect day of the city center.
