Jakob Kurowski of Cambridgeshire’s Match Point Club was the winner of the Ormesby Senior Open 2 Star tournament held on Sunday 18 January 2026, one of a number of competitions to take advantage of the second day of the third British Club League weekend, which only had matches on Saturdays.

The competition was played on a round-robin basis with 4 bands and 8 or 9 players in each band.

The crucial match for the winner of Band 1 was a victory for Kurowski against Josh Harland from Ormesby, where, after Harland won the first game 11-9, two more very close games followed, with Kurowski winning 11-9 and 12-10 before taking the fourth game comfortably.

This band saw some very close matches. Harland won second place on countback with Yorkshire’s Ben Savage. Kurowski’s only defeat came against Savage of Yorkshire, at 11–7 in the decider, while Harland defeated Savage to finish in second place.
