For the most part, they’re succeeding, as we see more and more AI tools popping up in the apps and services we use every day. We’re only at the beginning of this new era, of course, but things are already pretty impressive, with OpenAI delivering some fantastic AI-generated videos thanks to Sora.
The start of something new
That said, things just get better with the introduction of Sora 2, adding even better detail to videos and clips that can be captured with sound. While the app was only available to iOS users, it may now be downloaded on Android.
Luckily, it didn’t take that long, and if you’re interested, you can grab Sora from the Play Store and start experimenting. It’s really as simple as entering a text prompt, which can then generate a video that will make you double-take at the stuff that comes out.
If you have yet to see what Sora 2 can achieve, we definitely recommend checking out the demo video the company released. While creating is a big part of the experience, you can also remix and add ideas that already exist. The biggest change from the previous model is that videos now have sound.
This adds another layer that adds to the realism of what can be produced with Sora. For the most part, much of what has been created looks and sounds quite real. And at a glance, it’s hard to tell that these videos were created using clues or images. Of course, if you dig deeper into it, you can see that some things just don’t add up, but it’s still pretty good.
Again, this is just another update at the beginning of the process. And if things are looking this good now, we can only imagine the things we’ll see in a few years. You can download the app for iOS and Android, with the latter available directly from the Google Play Store.
