In the years since his gold-medal-winning performance on the Tokyo Games in 2020, Steveson has pursued a variety of companies, including short stints with the NFL and WWE.

With former two-division UFC champion Jon Jones Stevesons MMA debut could not have gone better in his corner. The Olympianus provided a single Takedown before he hit a TKO victory less than two minutes in the game.

From the undamaged fight, Steveson promised to stay active.

“I had the biggest rush of my life that turn on gloves and win that victory,” said Steveson during an appearance The Ariel Helwani Show. “I want to keep it that way,” said Steveson. I want to stick to MMA. I want to take it one day at the same time. I am now 1-0.

“I would like to be 2-0, 3-0, 4-0 and just maintain it and just believe it in myself. You have to concentrate on one thing, and I want to concentrate on this.”
