A Official club statement Leest: “Manchester United has started working on a considerable extension of train seats in Old Trafford, with 6,000 extra safe standing seats that are installed in Tier 2 of the Stretford end.”

“The project will double the current facility of railway places in the stadium, making Old Trafford one of the leading locations of the Premier League for safe status.”

“The first phase of the seats will be present for the upcoming match against Sunderland. However, the part remains a permit for that game until the installation is completed and formally approved by the Sports Grounds Safety Authority (SGSA).”

United says they expect the work to be completed at the end of October.

However, formal approval of the SGSA could follow later.

The statement concludes by pointing out: “This latest development reflects the continuous investment of the club in improving the MatchDay experience, which is safely recognized for stimulating the atmosphere, while safety is also improved.”

In the meantime, United will be looking for the back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time since May 2024, when they compete against Brentford in the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday.

United Eying victory over Brentford

The Red Devils beat Chelsea last weekend and illuminated some pressure from the shoulders of Ruben Amorim and his players.

Prior to the game there was a lot of speculation about Amorim’s future at United, although it was made clear that he still retained the support of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the football leadership group.

After the last whistle vs. Chelsea emphasized Amorim the importance of building Momentum and starting a series of positive performance and results.

A victory on the bees would be a long way to achieve this goal. The kick -off is at 12.30 pm.
