Nottingham Forest’s search for a new manager following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou yesterday could reportedly be bad news for Manchester United.

It appears one name on Forest’s list of targets to replace Postecoglou is Fulham boss Marco Silva, according to the Times.

However, we also know that Ruben Amorim is probably not that safe at Man United, and Silva has seen this on their list of candidates before, according to Football insider.

The Red Devils don’t seem that close to firing Amorim at the moment, but it will be interesting to see how much longer he is gone as the season has once again been off to a pretty poor start.

Silva being monitored by Forest may also convince United to act faster, otherwise they risk missing out on a candidate who could be ideal to replace Amorim.

What next for Marco Silva after strong work at Fulham?

Silva has done a fantastic job at Craven Cottage and it is only natural that he is attracting interest from ambitious clubs.

The Portuguese tactician could certainly have a positive impact at a big club like United, while it also makes sense that he is seen as someone who can help Forest move forward.

It has been a difficult start to the season at the City Ground, with Postecoglou losing his job after just 39 days in charge, while Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked rather harshly earlier this season.

Postecoglou clearly seemed the wrong choice for Forest with his playing style, and Silva could be a more similar style of coach to Nuno.
