Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association is now accepting nominations for the 2026 ITA David A Benjamin Achievement Award Through Friday April 10and I would appreciate it if you would take the time to nominate someone you think should be considered.
Now in its 32nd year, the ITA David A Benjamin Achievement Award honors past participants in the world of varsity tennis who have achieved excellence in their chosen career path. The spirit of the award honors both professional success and contributions to society made as a direct result of a career or through humanitarian efforts. In 2015, Margie and Stan Smith presented the ITA Achievement Award in honor of Dr. Benjamin, the long-serving executive director and chairman of the ITA board of directors.
Our winner of the ITA Achievement Award 2025, David H. Wilkinsjoined a long list of distinguished ITA David A Benjamin Achievement Award laureates, all of whom played college tennis and changed the world in very positive ways.
Below you will find more information about the criteria and how to submit a nomination.
Eligibility:
Applicant must be a graduate of a four-year American university and have been a member of the school’s collegiate tennis team for at least one year.
Price selection:
The ITA will select at least three finalists from all applications received who will be assessed by the selection panel. One recipient (a man or a woman) will be selected as the winner of the 2026 ITA David A Benjamin Achievement Award.
Nominations:
To nominate a collegiate tennis player who graduated from your institution, complete the information requested nomination form at the latest then April 10, 2026.
