The West Delhi Lions produced an impressive version in the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday and sail to the title Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 with a victory of six wicket over Central Delhi Kings.
Skipper Nitish Rana stole the show with a sizzling 79* that ensured that the first DPL -Kroon on its part.
Central Delhi Kings Post 173 on the board
Placed in Bat, the kings placed a competitive 173/7 in 20 overs. Yugal Saini anchored the innings with a well -made 65 of 48 balls, while Pranshu Vijayran leaves fireworks a blazing 50* out of just 24 deliveries that made four sixes.
For West Delhi, Manan Bhardwaj (2/11) and Shivank vashed (2/28) the brakes, so that the kings did not cross 180 despite their strong finish.
Rana’s powerful answer
The pursuit of the lions began in a shaky tone on 15/2 in two overs. But Rana turned the tide with a captain of a captain and hit seven sixes and four four in his 49-ball unbeaten 79.
He found a competitive support in Hrithik Shokeen, who caught up with an unbeaten 42 from 27 balls.
The pair added an unbroken 103-run standard, closing to the closing victory with 12 balls. Shokeen ended appropriately the procedure with a towering six when West Delhi finished on 176/4.
For Central Delhi Bogen Simarjeet Singh (2/35) and Tejas Baroka (1/21) intentionally, but their efforts were short of Rana’s attack.
