The partnership will help support acting graduates as they pursue work in Los Angeles.
The National Institute of Dramatic Art is partnering with Australians in Film in Los Angeles for its 2025 graduating actors.
The partnership will open doors and provide support to NIDA graduates across the US.
Graduates will have access to space in AiF’s West Hollywood studio office to hold meetings, as well as professional development, access to AiF’s programs and personalized support, including one-on-one meetings prior to or upon their arrival in Los Angeles.
This partnership will also benefit students in Design for Performance, Dramatic Writing, Directing, Costume, Specialist Makeup, Props and Effects, Cultural Leadership, Set Construction and Technical Theater and Stage Management, who wish to pursue a career in the United States.
NIDA CEO Liz Hughes said: “NIDA’s reputation in Hollywood has been built over decades. We are committed to ensuring that NIDA students and alumni have direct access to key global industry hubs. We are excited to work with AiF to support the NIDA community working or planning to work in LA.”
Peter Ritchie, Executive Director of AiF, said: “We are genuinely excited about this partnership with NIDA. Our missions are closely aligned and we share a deep commitment to supporting Australia’s best creative talent on the global stage. As AiF enters a new chapter focused on creating more strategic and meaningful international professional pathways, this partnership provides an ideal platform for NIDA graduates and alumni to thrive.”
